This year the event will be held on Thursday, March 30, in the AHS Cafeteria from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. The World’s Fair is an opportunity to share and celebrate your family’s culture and the global diversity within the AHS community. You can place your order via MySchoolBucks (see link below or see me in the counseling office to pay with cash or check (payable to AHS Track). The deadline to order a DELICIOUS Boston Butt will be Friday - February 10, 2023 at midnight.

ONLY students who register in advance will be eligible for prizes at this year’s event.
The Distinguished Young Women Program of Lee County will be hosting an informational meeting Tuesday, February 7, at 6:00 p.m. at the Opelika Chamber of Commerce. This scholarship program is open to rising twelfth grade girls. If you have questions, please see AHS's Ms. Jacque Middleton in AHS's School Library Media Center.

DECA CLUB PICTURE!!! DECA will meet at 3:35 p.m. in AHS 1306 on Monday, February 6, to take our club picture. Those competing at CDC will stay after the picture to finalize our preparation efforts. If you are not competing, but can stay to help us prep, that would be great!!!

This is Justin Ellis, Director of Esports at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL. I sent an email last fall with some info about our esports program, and I wanted to ask that you share/reshare this information with your senior students as the spring semester begins to kick into some normalcy. We are currently recruiting students on scholarship of all levels, and our admissions office passed along your info to share information with your senior student body, even those who are not on an esports team if you do have one.

From AHS's Ms. Madison Reese, Social Studies teacher!! AHS Key Club is so excited to FINALLY host our Color Run benefitting Children's Hospital on Saturday, February 18, right here at 1701 E. Samford! We have 5k and 1 Mile run options available! Also, if you sign up by Sunday, February 5, you will receive a white t-shirt with the race logo to wear on the run and get colorful!
