On May 21, 2021 Olivia rodrigro released her hit debut album, sour. Sour debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 charts, it stayed there for five weeks before dropping down. It continued to stay in the top 10 for the following weeks. It’s safe to say her debut album is extremely successful; this cause intense excitement about her future music. On June 30th 2023, Olivia released the very first single from the guts album, “vampire”. The song was followed by a music video. The song quickly became a sensation, the track debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Top 200. Rumors started swirling about the meaning behind the song. In an interview with The Guardian she commented saying “How do I answer this? I mean, I never want to say who any of my songs are about. I’ve never done that before in my career and probably won’t. I think it’s better to not pigeonhole a song to being about this one thing.” This satisfied fans. On August 7th 2023 Olivia rodrigro announced that her next single “bad idea right” would come out the following Friday, august 11th. The song was quickly followed by the release of the music video, just like the “vampire” music video. The album officially came out on September 7th, 2023. The track list was as followed:

Most of the songs were up-beat pop songs. In my personal opinion, the album was a masterpiece. Olivia Rodrigo was able to combine many different types of pop songs in a way that made every piece fit perfectly. Soon after the release of the album, Olivia paired up with Apple to make a music video shot on an iPhone 15, to the song “get him back”. The entire album has show her real talent in the industry. Olivia Rodrigo is going on tour in 2024 for this album. The tickets are sold out and only available through second hand sites. We look forward to seeing Olivia preform these songs live!
