20 seasons into his career, LeBron James has the best shot at a title hes ever had. Things werent looking to good after the 2021 playoffs, with co-star Anthony Davis hurting his foot, the lakers didnt do so well those playoffs, as they were a first round exit to the suns, the first first round exit in James' career. later that of season the traded much of their depth for russel westbrook. Westbrook was traded in 2023 ending the dissapointing 2 season era. LeBron now has the best roster with the most depth he has ever had in his career.
The lakers added D'Angelo Russel who is a much needed improvement at the 1. They also have more big-men like Rui Hachimura who adds shooting and Christian Wood who brings intirior defense. They also brought in Gabe Vincent who in these past playoffs played a major role in taking the Miami Heat to the Finals and many believe myself included that he deserved eastern conference finals MVP. And dont forget about Austin Reeves, he emerged out of nowhere as an up promising young star when he hit a game winning shot against Dallas in december 2021.
With Anthony Davis looking playing like prime shaq last playoffs and looking healthy for this upcoming season, aswell as all the depth the lakers brought in, i believe it is fair to say that this is the best lakers team lebron has ever played with, if not the best team he has had in his career, and with lebron still looking like a top 10 maybe top 5 player in the league, i think its safe to say that they are the favorites to win the west.
